Meet the Band!

Chuck Tidwell

Acoustic and Electric Guitars

The "Titan of Tone"! The "Silver Fox"! "Screamin'" Chuck Tidwell! He may have many names, but there is no mistaking the man behind those epic guitar solos emanating from the Duchess stage! Chuck hails from Muscle Shoals, AL where he spent many years on the local circuit as an in-demand guitarist. With a playing style shaped heavily by rock, blues, and country influences, he has shared the stage with dozens of country-rock legends, such as Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, and the great Merle Haggard. Chuck semi-retired from music and has since enjoyed a career in international business serving as an Air Force Civilian. However, the love of playing and performing proved too great to resist, and Duchess was born alongside longtime musical partner Doug Bowers, with whom two Christian albums were co-written and released as The Walk.

Rhoda Woeckener

Vocals and Aux Percussion

To some she is simply Rhoda. To others.....she is Wonder Woman! Step aside, Gal Gadot! When not pumping iron in pursuit of her next bodybuilding competition win, you'll find Rhoda expertly rounding out Duchess' sound with her warm, soulful voice. Through the years she has been involved in various musical pursuits in theater, a cappella groups, and serving at church. In 2008 she was selected as a vocalist to tour with Tops in Blue, the Air Force's expeditionary entertainment group. While with the Tops, she performed all over the world, including Southwest Asia to entertain troops in various combat areas. Now an Air Force Veteran, she co-owns a successful wedding event business (Highlight Weddings and Events) with her husband Josh who serves as the DJ/MC extraordinaire. Together they adopted a lovely furchild/rescue cat named Paxton who does tricks on command for treats.

Doug Bowers

Keys, Guitar, and Backing Vocals

Air Force Veteran. Retired Dentist. A full-bodied head of hair that makes bald men weep and women furious with envy. THAT is the essence of Doug Bowers! A talented multi-instrumentalist, Doug has spent his life immersed in music, playing every type of venue from the rough watering holes in his hometown of Morgantown, WV to the large concert stages surrounding Fort Walton Beach, FL. A self-proclaimed "studio hack", Doug has released several albums under his moniker KDB3 which have garnered him more attention from overseas Progressive Rock circles than in the states. Doug also runs the Immanuel Music project, a ministry of Immanuel Anglican Church which provides free recording and music production services.

Nate Kuwitzky

Bass Guitar and Aux Bass Drum

When not providing mad bass rhythms, Nate is a Marine Veteran, Air Force Civilian, Gandalf the Luminous (stage-lighting wizard), electrician, carpenter, machinist, photographer, videographer, social-media facilitator, Photoshop Specialist, MacGuyver, MacGruber, and a genuine Jack-of-all-trades! And after all that, he still has the time to grow a luscious Viking beard! Nate is originally from Phoenix, AZ and has played bass and guitar most of his life, taking part in numerous bands and worship teams over the years. Nate's wife Shawna, and owner of Kuwitzky Photography, is Duchess' primary photographer and has taken many of the professional live and studio band photos currently in use.

Tony Gorrell

Drums and Backing Vocals

Oh snap! Is that Phil Collins?! Despite the glaring similarities to the legendary drummer and singer for Genesis, we can confirm with 98.3% confidence the drummer for Duchess is in fact Tony Gorrell. An Ohio native, Tony moved to Florida in the mid 2000's to begin his career as an IT professional. Since beginning his drumming journey 25+ years ago on a humble snare in the 5th Grade, he has played in several great bands primarily rooted in 80's, 90's and Classic Rock. His drumming style was heavily influenced by drummers from many genres, especially Liberty DeVitto (Billy Joel), 90's "grunge era" drummers, and even some of those crazy progressive legends like Neil Peart and John Bonham. Tony also enjoys playing guitar and bass.
